Beholder Mile (G1) at Santa Anita: Anytime you can hit two of the four races analyzed, you should make a profit and that’s exactly what we did last weekend, starting off with SECRET SPICE ($24.40) keying a $26 exacta that I recommended playing five times.
Frank E. Kilroe Mile (G1) at Santa Anita: A former $50K claimer, OHIO (21.20) surprised many handicappers in this select six-horse field by winning a desperate photo finish over odds-on favorite CATAPULT. But hats off to winning jockey Reuben Fuentes for his first G1 victory and to trainer Michael McCarthy for another stellar training job (CITY OF LIGHT).
Florida Derby (G1) at Gulfstream Park: Stupid me for not giving more consideration to MAXIMUM SECURITY ($11.60). After all, he’s only trained by a guy (Jason Servis) who is hitting at a 45% win clip for the meet!
Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) at Gulfstream Park: Blinkers on can definitely cause significant improvement with a young horse and that was exactly the case with CHAMPAGNE ANYONE ($17.20), allowing us to cash the $25.20 exacta five times.
