Humana Distaff (G1) at Churchill Downs: AMERICAN GAL ($7.80) got our Derby Day off to a nice start when we cashed a recommended $20 win wager on her. She now has five wins from eight career starts, including two Grade 1 victories. Talented & lightly raced filly with plenty of upside for the remainder of this year.
Turf Classic (G1) at Churchill Downs: Quite the day for the owners of Yoshida ($21.80) as their partnership group also visited the winners circle one race after this when Justify wore the garland of roses after his breathtaking Derby performance, demonstrating once again that the rich get richer!
Kentucky Derby (G1) at Churchill Downs: The power of large fields leading to great payouts was never on display more than in America’s most famous race as the $2 JUSTIFY to GOOD MAGIC exacta paid $69.60 (which I recommended playing for $3). Incredible value – You’re welcome.
Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs: Had a ton of respect for Monomoy ($7.20) as I had her ranked as my second selection, but I went all-in on my top choice (Midnight Bisou), who had a rough trip.
