RECAP OF SELECTIONS FROM 04/07/18

Santa Anita Derby (G1) at Santa Anita: Tried to get cute and beat BOLT d’ORO in the exacta (with JUSTIFY) and lost. Left $2.70 (for $1) on the table. I’m ok with that.

Wood Memorial (G2) at Aqueduct: His distant fourth place finish in the Tampa Bay Derby (G2) is what scared me away from playing VINO ROSSO ($10.40), who is now two-for-two over the Aqueduct main track.

Ashland (G1) at Keeneland: MONOMOY GIRL ($2.60) was the overwhelming odds-on favorite, making the task of showing a profit for the race difficult, but did recommend playing the winning exacta (with ESKIMO GIRL) seven times.

Blue Grass (G1) at Keeneland: My top choice (QUIP) scratched, negating all my recommended wagers in the race.
