Recap of Selections from 02/09/19

San Marcos (G2) at Santa Anita: So close to greatness. We’ve all been there as horseplayers. I swear, that’s what keeps us coming back for more! And in the four races I analyzed, I had two bouts with greatness, including this one. Specifically, if you followed my recommended plays, you would have lost them all. But if you paid one sliver of attention to my longshot value play (PLATINUM WARRIOR), you would have cashed a win ticket to the tune of $34.40!

Thunder Road (G3) at Santa Anita: Different race, exact same story, as my longshot value play (TRUE VALOUR) scored, this time paying $25.00, without me having a penny on him. What’s wrong with me? LOL.

Las Virgenes (G2) at Santa Anita: Tough to make money in a five-horse field when the 1/9 favorite (BALLAFINA) wins, but we did manage to eke out a small profit on the race after I recommended playing a $25 straight exacta with second place finisher ENAYA ALRABB, which returned $67.50 on our investment.

Sam F. Davis (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs: This is the one race I truly whiffed on completely, as WELL DEFINED ($16) caught me and many other handicappers by surprise.
